On the afternoon of Sunday June 30, 2024, the community gathered for a highly anticipated lecture organised by the An-Naseeha Foundation. The lecture was delivered by Ustadh Abu Taymiyyah, who addressed the injustice taking place in Palestine and how as Muslim we should deal with hardships and difficulties. The talk resonated deeply with attendees, and Allhamdulillah many youths attended and filled the hall.
Ustadh Abu Taymiyyah emphasised the importance of being informed and urged attendees to utilise their voices and platforms to raise awareness. He highlighted the power of social media in today’s world, encouraging young people to harness this tool for positive change.
Transitioning to the theme of dealing with hardships, Ustadh Abu Taymiyyah provided a spiritual framework rooted in Islamic teachings. He shared inspiring stories from the lives of the Salaf, drawing parallels to contemporary struggles; emphasising patience, resilience, and faith. His message was clear: while external circumstances may be challenging, maintaining inner strength and trust in Allah’s plan is also paramount.
The interactive Q & A session that followed the lecture was equally enriching. Attendees posed thoughtful questions, with Ustadh Abu Taymiyyah responding with wisdom and insight, addressing concerns ranging from personal struggles to broader youth related issues.
The event left a lasting impact on all who attended. Many youth expressed feeling more empowered and equipped to face their own challenges and more motivated to advocate for justice in Palestine. The event also fostered a sense of solidarity and purpose, reminding everyone of their role in promoting peace and justice.
