Shaykh Moutasem Al-Hameedy has studied under many of the prominent students of Shaykh al-Albaani (raheemaullah), including, Shaykh Mashhoor Hasan (Hadeeth & Usool al-Fiqh), Shaykh Hussain al-Awaaysha (Fiqh & Manners), Shaykh Ali  Hasan al-Halabi (Hadeeth & Aqeedah), Shaykh Ayman as-Saadiq (Arabic Grammar & Morphology) and Dr. Malik Sha’ban (Aqeedah & Tafseer).

Shaykh Moutasem regularly travels to many cities around the world delivering lectures and seminars on various topics related to Islam, and also participates in delivering talks on Huda TV. The Shaykh is also known for his beautiful soothing recitation of the Qur’an.
