On Sunday evening, we were honoured to host our special guest speaker, Shaikh Adnan Abdul Qadir from Kuwait, who graced the community with a profound lecture entitled, Signs of Allah’s Love from Surah Yusuf. The lecture, organised by the An-Naseeha Foundation, attracted attendees of various ages, eager to gain insights of this magnificent Surah.

Shaikh Adnan highlighted several key themes:

1. Divine Wisdom in Adversity: Shaikh Adnan expounded on how the trials faced by Prophet Yusuf, from being cast into a well by his brothers to his unjust imprisonment, were all part of Allah’s greater plan. Each hardship, he explained, was a sign of Allah’s love and a step towards Yusuf’s ultimate success and fulfilment of his dreams.

2. Maintaining Faith in Difficult Times: Shaikh Adnan urged the audience to draw parallels between Prophet Yusuf’s unwavering faith amidst his trials and their own lives. He emphasised that maintaining trust in Allah during tough times is a sign of one’s closeness to the Divine. Also, the Shaikh highlighted the importance of holding onto one’s aspirations and the belief that Allah’s plan is always in one’s best interest.

3. Keeping a Connection with Allah: The significance of always maintaining a connection with Allah was another focal point. The Shaikh related that no matter how far we may stray, its vital we always maintain a link and connection with our Lord, so we can one day hopefully return back to Allah.

The lecture left the audience with a sense of peace and spiritual upliftment that resonated with the hearts of the attendees. In summary, Shaikh Adnan’s lecture was a profound reminder of Allah’s love and wisdom, even in the face of life’s greatest challenges.
